Phone call reveals Rainville secret which...
... national Republicans spent nearly $1M to keep
Burlington, VT - A campaign call to a Vermont voter has revealed a secret Martha Rainville and the national Republicans have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep.
Don, a volunteer urging Vermonters to vote for Martha Rainville, accidentally mentions she will give a "strong Republican" voice in Congress before noticing and correcting his mistake by saying Martha Rainville will be a "strong independent voice in Congress".
"Despite having the national Republicans spending over $750,000 on ads claiming Martha Rainville is an independent, neither her supporters nor the rest of Vermont are fooled," said Welch for Congress Communications Director Andrew Savage.

Martha Rainville will give a strong Republican and independent voice in Congress... got that wrong didn,t I?
... A strong independent voice in Congress and work with members of both parties to restore honesty and integrity in Washington.
Thank you very much for your time.
This call paid for by the Vermont Republican Party."
